In this episode we’re focusing on tourism.
 
Gary talks about the importance of tourism as part of a diverse economy with chief executive of Copeland borough council, Pat Graham, and about our latest investment in Whitehaven – The Edge, with Celia MacKenzie, chief executive of the Whitehaven Harbour Commissioners.
 
Also in this episode we’ll hear from Ian Tierney from Cycling Projects about how another of our investments – the Hidden Coast project – will help to make the west Cumbrian coastline accessible for all.
 
And he’s joined by Gill Hague from Cumbria Tourism, Katie Reed from Copeland Tourism and Graeme Kennedy from Allerdale Borough Council to talk about how the pandemic has helped us all to rediscover what is right here on our doorstep.
